PaverCraft operates on a simple principle: your data stays with you. We don't collect, store, or transmit your personal information or project data to our servers. Everything you calculate happens in your browser and stays on your device.

What We DON'T Collect

• No user accounts - We don't require registration or login
• No personal information - No names, emails, addresses, or phone numbers
• No calculation data on servers - All your inputs and results stay in your browser
• No project data on servers - Saved projects live in your browser's storage only
• No payment information - We don't process payments

What Data Stays in Your Browser

The following data is stored locally on your device using browser storage (IndexedDB and localStorage):

Calculation History

• What: Up to 100 recent calculations with inputs, results, and timestamps
• Why: So you can restore and review previous calculations
• Where: IndexedDB in your browser
• Control: Clear anytime via browser settings or our history page

Saved Projects

• What: Multi-calculator projects you create and name
• Why: To let you plan complex projects with multiple calculators
• Where: IndexedDB in your browser
• Control: Delete projects anytime from the Projects page

User Preferences

• What: Settings like preferred units or default materials
• Why: To personalize your experience
• Where: localStorage in your browser
• Control: Clear via browser settings

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how people use our calculators. This helps us improve the site.

• What we track: Page views, referral sources, device type, and country-level location
• What we DON'T track: Personal information, IP addresses (anonymized), or behavior across other websites
• Purpose: Understand which calculators are useful and how to improve them
• Third party: Ahrefs (see their privacy policy)

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. The only cookies present are:

• Analytics cookies from Ahrefs (for anonymous usage stats)
• Essential cookies for basic site functionality

Third-Party Services

We use minimal third-party services:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics - Anonymous site usage tracking
• Google Fonts - Typography (no tracking)
• Vercel - Hosting provider

We do NOT use: social media pixels, advertising networks (beyond AdSense verification), or user data brokers.

Your Data Rights

Since your data stays on your device:

• Access: View your data in browser DevTools
• Delete: Clear browser storage anytime
• Export: Use browser export or our PDF export features
• No requests needed: You're in complete control

Children's Privacy

Our service does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect user data, COPPA doesn't apply, but we're committed to privacy for all users.

Security

Local-first = secure by default. Your data never leaves your device, so there's nothing to hack on our servers. We use HTTPS for all connections to protect data in transit.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to our privacy practices, we'll update this page and note the change date. Check back periodically for updates.
